The Vale of Evesham is a gateway to the Cotswolds from the north, located on the border of Warwickshire and Worcestershire with Stratford upon Avon just 30 minutes drive to the east and the Malvern Hills a 45 minute drive west. The Evesham Tourist Information Centre is conveniently located inside the Almonry Museum, right in the heart of the town. Here, you can pick up helpful maps, leaflets, and guides to help you plan your day and make the most of your visit.

Our friendly and knowledgeable team is on hand to answer any questions you may have, from local attractions and events to places to eat and hidden gems around Evesham and the Vale.

Getting Here

By Car

Evesham is well connected by road, with the A46 and A44 providing direct routes into the town. We’re approximately 30 minutes from Worcester, 45 minutes from Cheltenham and 50 minutes from Birmingham International Airport . There’s plenty of parking available in and around the town centre, including long-stay and short-stay options.

By Train

Evesham has its own railway station on the Cotswold Line, with regular direct services to and from London Paddington in under two hours. Direct trains to Worcester and Great Malvern can be found for 20 minutes and under 40 minutes, Oxford is a 50 minute journey. From Evesham station it’s a ten-minute walk to Market Square which is the heart of town, from here you can explore the beautiful riverside parks, shops and cafés.

By Bus or Coach

Evesham bus station is centrally located on the High Street next to the taxi rank. There are several bus services connecting Evesham to nearby towns and villages, including routes from Worcester, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Cheltenham. Local services also make it easy to explore the Vale of Evesham and surrounding countryside. A coach drop off point is provided at Merstow Green.

Accessible Evesham

Evesham is a welcoming and accessible town, with many facilities and services designed to make your visit as easy and enjoyable as possible for everyone. We are currently in the process of responding to the recommendations made in an accessibility audit commissioned by Wychavon District Council. Upcoming improvements include better signage and wayfinding and more accessible street furniture.

Changing Places toilets are available in the centre of town at Oat Street public toilets and near to the riverside at Viaduct Meadows public toilets and many public car parks offer designated accessible parking spaces close to the main attractions.

The Almonry Museum and Tourist Information Centre provides assistance for visitors with accessibility needs, offering helpful advice and local knowledge to help you get the most from your visit.
