Hampton Ferry

The historic Hampton Ferry has now been used as a link between the village of Hampton and the town of Evesham for almost 800 years. The Benedictine Monks of Evesham Abbey needed to cross the River Avon to Hampton to tend the hillside vineyard on the land behind what is now Ferry House. Today adults and children can cross the river on the ferry as a tourist attraction whilst enjoying the setting locally known as ‘Evesham’s Natural Beauty Spot’. Raphael’s Licensed Restaurant provides lunch and bar snacks and hosts events throughout the year.
