January Sunday Ramble

  • Area: Cleeve Hill, Cleeve Common, Postlip Mill, Belas Knap and Humblebee How
  • Start: 9.30 am for 10 am prompt start
  • Distance: 8.4 miles
  • Terrain: We will be walking flat open moorland, field paths and farm tracks, with two steep climbs to great views at the highest point in the Cotswolds. There are several stiles and a number of kissing gates. In January it will certainly be muddy in some places.
  • Lunch: Approx. 1pm.
  • Where: en route. Please bring a picnic lunch.
  • Description: 

” There will be an opportunity to use the toilets and collect a coffee from the Club House before we set off. From the car park we will take the Cotswold Way east. At the Tithe Barn we follow the River Isbourne, eventually dropping down to Postlip Mills and House. From here we pick up the Cotswold Way climbing south to Belas Knap and Humblebee How. Here we follow the Cotswold and Winchcombe Way to Wentley Farm, where we leave the Cotswold Way and head north on the Winchcombe Way, skirting Cleeve Common and the Golf Course to return to the car park.
