A tradition steeped in history, the Summer Solstice is observed uniquely across various cultures and nations. We are hosting our annual celebration to honour our neighbouring New Farm Nature Reserve and enchanting Sanctum Sculpture.

Join us on Saturday 21st June on the longest day of the year in welcoming the daybreak as we witness the sun ascend over the vale.

Prepare for an invigorating early morning; we anticipate the sun’s first rays at 4:47 am. We plan to set off at the northern car park at 4:20 am.

The communal sunrise walk is open to everyone—families, dogs (must be kept on leads at all times), and all who enjoy the beauty of nature in the company of others. There’s no charge for this event; simply let us know you’re coming commenting or sending us a direct message.

Please come prepared for uneven ground and cool morning temperatures. Subject to numbers, we plan to bring along a mini field kitchen placed at the Sanctum Sculpture with hot tea and possibly a bacon butty as the day begins.

We also recommend you bring a lightweight camp chair if you’d like to sit in comfort as the sun breaks.

4.20am from the North Car Park (near the Adventure Railway Station) what3words location: passenger.residual.artist
